Bonmarché have been a registered charity partner of Macmillan Cancer Support for 15 years and have raised £2.8 million. The money raised is used to support those affected by cancer in the form of patient grants.
Macmillan grants provide much needed financial support for people living with cancer by helping them to pay their travel fare for hospital appointments, pay their fuel bills or even to enable them to purchase essential household items such as washing machines or microwaves.
Every year we hold numerous events in support of Macmillan as well as selling branded goods, such as t-shirts, scarves and pin badges, of which a percentage of all sales go directly to Macmillan. We also support Breast Cancer Now for the month of October every year. Each of our 300 stores takes part in our fundraising for both charities by hosting fashion events, raffles and tombola’s, cake sales, walks, community events as well as selling charity scarves and t-shirts.

Go Mad Go Green – July 2015
Each store will turn itself green for our Macmillan ‘Go Mad Go Green’ event this year.
With a green theme to everything they do stores will be hosting events, encouraging sponsorship as well as arranging sponsored walks in the local community.
Great North Run – September 2015
This year 12 members of staff have signed up to run the Great North Run to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.
There are runners from 10 of our regions as well as Bonmarché head office and everyone is pulling together to support the runners in their training and raising as much money as possible to encourage them on the day.
Macmillan Coffee Morning – September 2015
Each year Bonmarché take part in the biggest Macmillan event the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.
All 295 stores and the staff at head office host bake sales, run raffles, dress up for sponsorship and have a great day raising money for Macmillan.
Wear It Pink – October 2015
Our annual event for Breast Cancer Now happens in October each year when our stores and staff raise funds for this fantastic charity by dressing themselves, and their stores, pink for a day and getting sponsored to do so. Stores and head office will also arrange raffles and bake sales in store to raise extra funds. We also sell branded t-shirts during this month with a percentage of every sale going to Breast Cancer Now. The funds raised in October 2014 reached £15,000!
